Lexus launches production of brand-new 2023 Lexus RX in Canada

The fifth generation of the all-new Lexus RX was introduced earlier this year, and now, Toyota has begun the production of one of its most impressive luxury SUVs ever built. The all-new Lexus RX is improved in every way, from the exterior design to the brand-new luxurious interior to the impressive new connectivity and safety technologies. Moreover, the all-new 2023 Lexus brings to the table a new lineup of vastly improved powertrains that deliver better performance and better efficiency. Let's take a look at everything the impressive new 2023 Lexus RX has to offer.

A brand new architecture and new models for the 2023 Lexus RX

This latest Lexus RX is built on the new GA-K architecture, which is lighter and has a lower centre of gravity. This is the starting point for the new-generation RX, which provides sporty handling and a more dynamic overall personality. Along with the new structure, the new Lexus RX 500h F SPORT PERFORMANCE model arrives with one of the most powerful hybrid engines offered on the market. This model joins two other Lexus RX trims, while a plug-in hybrid version is expected later on. In total, 13 different 2023 Lexus RX models will be offered for sale.

Every single 2023 Lexus RX model will feature standard all-wheel drive. Let's take a look at the different models offered in the new Lexus RX lineup.

 Lexus RX 350

The new 2023 Lexus RX 350 features a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 275 horsepower and an impressive 317 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired to an eight-speed automatic with a permanent all-wheel drive system which can transfer power from the front to the back from a ratio of 75:25 to 50:50 in order to get the highest level of traction in any situation.

 Lexus RX 350h

The new Lexus RX 350h features a 4-cylinder engine with an Atkinson-cycle as its starting point. This engine is then paired with an electric motor and a battery pack and provides 246 horsepower and 233 pound-feet of torque. That said, the most impressive feature of this engine is definitely the fuel economy rating which is under 8 L per 100 km.

 Lexus RX 450h+

The Lexus RX 450h+ is the plug-in hybrid version of the 2023 Lexus RX lineup. It offers over 60 km of all-electric range thanks to an 18.1-kWH battery.

Lexus RX 500h F SPORT PERFORMANCE

This top-of-the-line version in the 2023 RX lineup has a 2.4 l turbocharged engine that is paired to an electric powertrain that includes an 80-kW rear electric motor. This impressive hybrid powertrain is designed to be both powerful and efficient, with a total output of 366 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. It also averages around 9 L per 100km.

This is just an overview of all of the models offered in the 2023 Lexus RX lineup. Stepping inside, you will find a brand-new and very luxurious interior featuring Qi wireless charging capability, USB-C ports, a large Center display that can measure up to 14 in, 64 available ambient lighting options, a digital key system which allows you to use your phone to unlock the vehicle, and a range of connected features such as a new multimedia system which allows you to use voice commands to make adjustments using natural language. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are both available, and they are wireless. There is also an available 21-speaker high-end Mark Levinson audio system.

This is by far the most luxurious Lexus RX ever built, but it is also one of the most elegant new vehicles in the midsize luxury SUV segment. Give us a call today to learn more.
