New Brunswick winters demand more from luxury SUVs than style and comfort. From the Saint John River Valley's unpredictable freeze-thaw cycles to coastal storms rolling in from the Bay of Fundy, drivers need vehicles engineered for genuine winter confidence. Lexus hybrid all-wheel-drive systems deliver precisely that combination—refined performance paired with intelligent traction management...
The 2023 Lexus NX will soon be making landfall in Canada as it enters the second year of its current generation which was completely redesigned last year.
Style meets functionality in the 2023 Lexus NX
The NX remains a looker with a big hourglass-shaped grille (that gets blacked out on F Sport models), narrow LED headlights, stylish wheel choices including dark-colored items and a host of bright colour choices with names like Cadmium Orange, Redline and Ultrasonic Blue Mica.
While the exterior of the 2023 Lexus NX is notable for its stylishness, the interior is all about tech and luxury. The dash is dominated by the latest Lexus Interface infotainment system, which features a wide touchscreen measuring either 9.8 inches or a colossal 14”, depending on the trim. It provides access not only to your media such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but also “Hey, Lexus” voice activation commands that can do everything from getting you to the nearest sushi bar or change your climate controls.
Comfort-wise, look for top-drawer leather seating, ambient lighting, acoustic glass for even quieter progress, and all the driver and safety aids you can imagine courtesy of the Lexus Safety System+ suite. Lexus Safety System+ provides features such as lane-centering assist, dynamic radar cruise control, pre-collision system with automatic emergency braking, road sign recognition, automatic high beam adjust and a whole lot more.
Power comes from one of four powertrain choices across four model lines: the NX 250 comes powered by a 2.5-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine, the NX 350 gets a 2.4L turbo-four, the NX 350h gets the NX 250’s 2.5L four but adds an Atkinson cycle hybrid and the top-spec NX 450h+ takes that 2.5 and adds two electric motors, for a total system output of 305 horsepower and the ability to cruise in pure EV mode for around 60 km. The system can charged on its own through regenerative braking or coasting, but can also be plugged in at the end of the day for an even faster recharge.
For 2023, there’s an NX for everybody!
